Dinner: Lemon Pepper Tilapia

I was feeling completely drained and did not feel like cooking at all. But since we want to live, there needed to be some food. So I decided to cook some fish, because its EASY.

This came out so moist, and so tasty. It was simple and light, but still had an impact. I added some spinach and sauteed it in the same pan as the fish. This was a pleasant treat. I did not follow a recipe for this, I kind of did my own thing.  But here is an actual recipe of the same exact thing.
1 teaspoon butter
1 tablespoon oil
4 tilapia fillets
lemon pepper seasoning
salt

Directions:

1 .In a large frying pan, melt butter on a med heat.
2 .Add oil.
3 .Put fish in pan.Season with lemon pepper and salt.
4 .Turn in 3 minutes and season other side, cook for 4 more minutes.
5 .Serve.

NYX Color Lip Balm

I was in Ulta yesterday and the first place I go to is the NYX section, then I saw Lip Balm. I don't know if these are new, but they are new to me. I immediately started swatching.  I fell in love with Merci which instantly reminded me of the MAC lip conditioner Fuchsia Fix. I was obsessed with Fuchsia Fix before having a child and realizing spending $15 on a lip balm was insane. It's amazing how cheap that boy made me..(I love him though) After grabbing  Merci, I noticed a small BOGO sticker, so I also picked up Shurkan.

I find it incredibly endearing that all 12 shade's name means "Thank You" in a different language. These lip balms are incredibly smooth. They make my lips feel silky smooth and buttery. When you put it on there is just the right amount of color, leaving a very natural look. So don't be afraid of the  bright colors they are very sheer. Merci smells very berry. Almost grape-y raspberry. While Shurkan has a hint of berry but not as much as Merci. I absolutely love these

Palmolive Fresh Infusions Dish Soap

I recently received a box of three dish soaps from Influenster. The fragrances in the box were, Ginger White Tea, Lemon thyme, and Lime Basil.

Palmolive Fresh Infusions was designed with elegant simplicity and the freshest scents in mind. The clean you've always trusted from Palmolive blends with naturally inspired fragrance for the freshest kitchen around!

Thoughts: At first I was a little hesitant to try these out because when I saw "PALMOLIVE". My first thought was oh no, not the dish soap I am allergic too. I have a very high sensitivity to smells  so if it's too strong; I will sneeze, watery eyes, the whole nine. Original Palmolive does that too me, as soon as I start washing dishes I sneeze until I stop. I'm currently using Lemon Thyme fragrance. This dish soap gets the job done, and a little bit goes quite a long way. It cuts through grease well, and works will with dried on food. I cant really say there is anything special, because it doesn't work any worse or any better than my regular $0.99 Ajax. The major plus with these is the smell. The smell isn't as overwhelming as "original palmolive". It's light and does not irritate me nose at all. It actually reminds me of "Sunlight", which is what I grew up with in Canada. I'm looking forward to trying the Ginger White Tea, because it smells the best. Perhaps it would work better, which I doubt because I assume the formula is identical apart from the fragrance.

To be quite truthful I can't see myself buying this in the future, because I can not justify spending $3 on dish washing liquid, when a 99 cent product gets the job done just as great if not a little better.

Faux Kolacky!!!

The other day people were coming over and I had to scramble because there was nothing to serve with chai (tea). So I went to Walmart and picked up "Raspberry Kolackys". They were pretty, cheap and looked like they would go well with chai. One guest made a comment, these are so delicious, how did you make them, I want to know. I was kind of embarrassed and said.."WALMART".

Those Kolackys were still on my mind days later. Looking in my freezer I found some puff pastry sheets and I already had jam, then I thought why not.

Here are the results of a lingering dessert stuck in my mind for way too long.

Strawberry Jam and Marmalade- Stored in the recycled store bought container.
Icing makes all things pretty.

These turned out quite lovely and almost reminded me of a danish. Very tasty. One day I will make the real deal from scratch.
