Halloween

I had this in my to post list since October. I was contemplating posting these and was a little torn as to if I should or shouldn't. What really got me is what people would think! Finally I've decided to share. Not all my readers are Muslim and I don't feel as if drawing a pumpkin or Frankenstein on my nails really go against Islam. Some might not agree with my decision and that is OK..

I know these images are a tad irrelevant now, but please enjoy!

DIY: Straight Pin Painting

I hate it when I have a green, or a red hijab and I don't have the pins to match. Straight pins are extra handy as a hijabi, but they come in a limited selection of color if you get them from the sewing store or even grocery store. One day I got fed up with my lack of color selection and thought; since I have a whole bunch of nail polish ranging in a variety of colors, why not paint my pins myself. And that is exactly what I did. This is a great  and perhaps cheaper alternative to purchasing from specialty hijab stores or even online.

Things you'll need:

A Hijab:

Nail Polish (closest match to hijab):

Straight Pins:

and voila!!
A Close Match!!!
