NYX Color Lip Balm

I was in Ulta yesterday and the first place I go to is the NYX section, then I saw Lip Balm. I don't know if these are new, but they are new to me. I immediately started swatching.  I fell in love with Merci which instantly reminded me of the MAC lip conditioner Fuchsia Fix. I was obsessed with Fuchsia Fix before having a child and realizing spending $15 on a lip balm was insane. It's amazing how cheap that boy made me..(I love him though) After grabbing  Merci, I noticed a small BOGO sticker, so I also picked up Shurkan.

 I find it incredibly endearing that all 12 shade's name means "Thank You" in a different language. These lip balms are incredibly smooth. They make my lips feel silky smooth and buttery. When you put it on there is just the right amount of color, leaving a very natural look. So don't be afraid of the  bright colors they are very sheer. Merci smells very berry. Almost grape-y raspberry. While Shurkan has a hint of berry but not as much as Merci. I absolutely love these

Spring Eye

I wanted to create a spring eye. I know that bright bold colours are in for this season when it comes to eye makeup. This look was inspired by my Orchid, Albert. Yes I name my plants!


I used BH cosmetics 120 palette, 2nd Edition.

Neutral Eye

Yesterday I tried this very neutral winged eye, and I've decided it will be my every day eye makeup.

Natalie Portmant Oscar Inspired Eye

I know I am late but I finally got around to doing this eye makeup. I was inspired by Natalie Portman's Oscar 2011 dress. It was a beautiful deep plum. Some say it was violet but to me it looked plummy. I was not really feeling the dress itself, but I was IN LOVE with the colour.

So yes readers here is my eye makeup that was inspired by the colour of her dress. Nothing fancy just thought I'd play around with colour . This makeup is very wearable day or night, it's not too harsh at all.

I was thinking I should do a eye look that was inspired by Cate Blanchett's Dress..My god, that woman knows how to impress and be so different.

Katy Perry Grammy Inspired Eye

I finally got around to watching the grammy's a week late, but finally. When Katy Perry was on stage performing I was in LOVE with her eye makeup. It was so glittery and beautiful.

I decided to recreate the look with my non pro skills and here's what I came up with. I think the makeup on stage was a little different (more glitter) than her red carpet look: which is what I re-did. I thought it came out pretty good if I do say so myself.

This look I think compliments all skim tones. From Light to dark.

Glitter Smokey Eye

I was on Youtube (per usual) and I came across this very pretty eye tutorial. It is beyond easy...Only 4 items required: Kohl Eye Liner, Glitter liner, Mascara, a blending Brush

This look is perfect for parties. I also tried one with gold glitter and Dark Brown eyeliner and I unfortunately couldn't get a good picture (I need to buy a new camera, seriously, I've been saying this for 2.5 years) the gold and brown is softer/warmer looking. Very pretty.

My Results are down below. One with silver glitter and one with multi-coloured glitter. I wonder how it'll look if I use a bright eye liner with the glitter...experiment time!!!

Here is another eyeshadow look, using greens... LOL ignore that clump of mascara on the bottom lash...my bad.

I also tried an "Egyptian Queen look" but It didn't dawn on me to take pictures...I'll recreate it tomorrow insha'Allah and post!! If I don't get it done by tomorrow I will make sure it's up before the week ends.
