NOTD: Sparkle

Sinful Colors  Black on Black
China Glaze 5 Golden Rings
Orly Tiara

Thought I'd test out China Glaze Dorothy Who? It's pretty but not what I was hoping for. I need to get my hands on a true blue glitter polish. No silver flecks, any suggestions?

Trying Something New!!!

I've decided to make use of my YouTube account, and possibly post some of my nail designs. I don't think I would be doing tutorials as of yet. This is not really set in stone, just experimenting.

Here is a nail design I did before Ramadan. It was inspired by a Hijab.

Thanna: Vintage Head/ HijabisGotSwag

SH: Chocolate Chiffon, Essie: Sand Tropes, CG: China Rogue, Essie: Mink Muffs.

Let my know, do you prefer video or pictures or even both. I know a blog is mainly meant for photo but I just wanted to test the waters.

China Glaze- China Rouge

This my friends is my go to red. Well it's the only true red I own, and most likely the only true red I would buy again. Love it to bits!

This really is a sexy colour. Very Feminine and mature but not in an old way, but grown-up.

Vibes...

The "tribal" look is the hot thing this season. It's all over the place, from clothing to accessories, so why not have it on your nails too? This look was inspired by cutepolish...and Rihanna's music video, Man Down. Rum pa pa pum!

Just a thought: is "tribal" considered tribal to "tribal people" or do they think of it as so last year, or {insert circa here}?

Colours used: SH- White On, CG-Lemon Fizz, SH- Going Green, CG-China Rogue, CG- Liquid Leather, LA Colors Art Deco- Black , Seche Vite-Top Coat

Glitter!!!!

Another nail post...it's okay though I know they are loved!

What I have here is China Glaze's Dorothy Who? When I think Dorothy I think Wizard of Oz and those Ruby Red Slippers. This sparkly concoction of awesome blueness really makes you forget those slippers and Dorothy.

Oh Canada

Canada Day (July 1st) is around the corner, what better way to show my patriotic side and celebrate a little early by doing a nail design.

The maple leaf was easier to draw than it look. Colours used: OPI-Red Shatter, China Glaze- China Rogue, Sally Hansen-White On. What I love about OPI's Red shatter is the intensity of the colour changes depending on the base colour used. Pretty rad!

NOTD: Purple Petal!!!

As-Salaam All, I know I haven't written in a while..SO MUCH is going on right now :( Some good, some bad. Insha'Allah please make dua. I truly believe the in a the power of prayer.

This will be a nail post. For the better part of the week I've been wearing this mani. The days I get to wear polish all day are my favourite days!

Sally Hansen: Lacey Lilac
NYC: Uptown
China Glaze: Ahoy!
Orly: Enchanted Forest

I was trying out a different combo...
China Glaze: For Audrey
Sinful Colors: Hazard
NYC: Times Square
Orly: Enchanted Forest

It really saddens me that my camera didn't pick up the golden, ruby flecks in Ahoy! It was so pretty and shimmery when the light hit the nail.

Haul and Swatches

Yes, this is another nail polish related post!

I was in the Ulta area so I decided to pop in to see if they had OPI "Silver Shatter" yet. I was lucky because I got there early and they were just unpacking it. So I grabbed on bottle. Because I am cheapo I decided to get one more item in order to use the $3.50 off coupon. I grabbed NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in 'Milk'. Every time I go looking for the eye pencil in Milk it's always sold out. So another happy purchase.
I also popped into Sallys too look at their little clearance table. Any time I can get a China Glaze polish for $1.99. I'm all for it. They only had one CG polish and it was Hologram from the "Tronica" collection.

Silver Shatter is pretty. I love it way better than Black Shatter. Silver Shatter's formula is not as goopy as Black Shatter and it's way easier to apply. Silver Shatter doesn't dry slow at all. Compared to regular polishes it's very quick but it doesnt dry as fast as Black shatter which dries almost instantly.

Here are some different colours with Silver Shatter Top coat. I personally like pink and silver!
and below is Hologram in direct sunlight...look at the rainbow flecks..Superb!

Newspaper and Polka Dots

This is my manicure for today.

Insha'Allah it'll be worn for hopefully 2 more days. Yay for holidays.
LOL I just realized that one of the nails has the words "Love" and "Death". That is a little creepy.

Colours used:
Sally Hansen: Lacey Lilac
Sinfulcolors: Hazard
China Glaze: Liquid Leather.
Newspaper.

The newspaper print nails are very easy to do. Paint nails, make sure they are dry. Apply some rubbing alcohol on painted nails, place newspaper strips on the nail and hold for about 20 seconds. Apply a top coat Voila! you have newspaper nails.

Sally Haul + Nail Art

CG: Heaven
CG: China Rouge
CG: Liquid Leather
SH: White Out

Sally's Beauty was having a special. But 2 get one free. I know I shouldn't be a sucker for those things..but seriously nail polish has become my weakness.

I got China Glaze "China Rouge", CG "Heaven", and Orly "Tiara". I also picked up Seche Vite top coat. Unfortunately that wasn't part of the promo.

Disclaimer: I do not promote disregarding your daily prayers and wearing polish all day if you are able to pray.

Black and Yellow, Black and Yellow

Yes, I couldn't resist. That song, well only that part of the song has been stuck in my head for weeks now. So I decided to do a shatter effect on my nail to match the song.

Here it is. China Glaze Lemon Fizz avec Opi's Black Shatter

I also did a "Black and Yellow, Black and Yellow" look with China Glaze Lemon Fizz and China Glaze Liquid Leather. The half moon mani on my pinky. I totally free handed the look, next time I'm gonna make sure to get some sort of tape. I'll figure it out.
